Once upon a time, a long, long time ago creation took it’s course and a new story began. A beautiful little girl (because all little girls are beautiful) lived with her family in southern California. There her gentle clever father, sweet loving mother and busy older brother found peace in a small town. The sunshine, orange groves, beaches, red geraniums and cracked sidewalks splashed color through her life. Her family grew by one as her beautiful sister joined them. Under skies of blue they camped in the mountains, jumped ocean waves, built sandcastles and played tag with neighborhood children until darkness announced the end of another day.
“Children, we are going to move and live on an island,” her parents announced one Thanksgiving. And so they did! The island had a mountain, five lakes, forests to explore, all surrounded by water that sparkled like a jewel in the sunshine.
The girl grew into a woman who married and welcomed three children who grew up to have adventures of their own around the world.
Now a grandmother, retired and living on her precious island, she shares stories with children from her various adventures.
Many of her stories are set in the forests of her youth. Come along and say hello to Essea and her friends.
